Can I use climate declarations in procurement?
Yes. Since the information in the climate declarations which are registered in the international EPD®system is based on scientific, standardized and internationally accepted practices. The information is verified by an independent party. Procuring organisations can request climate declarations as a type of documentation or proof of requirements set out in the contract.
An organisation can also use climate declarations in their marketing, or as proof for a certain claim.
